I may be way off, but I do not think a for profit chess club is a good idea. If you have spare money to invest, I am pretty sure you'll find better ways to do it. The absolute majority of chess clubs are non-profits (does anyone even know of an example of a successful for profit local chess club?). There's a reason for that.
After School Chess Club

I've been a paid chess coach at schools since 2003. The school initiated the process of paying me after I worked as a parent volunteer coaching their after school program.
I am also on the board of a 501(c)3 (non-profit) that contracts with schools to provide chess programs.

I would suggest that you talk to the administrators at the schools where you substitute and indicate your willingness to help with an after school chess club.
Hello! How would I go about starting an after school chess club for profit? I substitute teach and don't know where to begin. I see that a lot of after school programs partner with local schools.
