I likee aggresive against my level players but for higher rated probbably solid
Aggressive or Solid

the weaker player is usually just as strong in tactics as the stronger player, so trying to out-tactic a weaker player is not the best strategy; but it is a great strategy against someone higher rated than you.
Alex Dunne, author of How to Become a Candidate Master, writes: "Class A players are bad defenders, but are good attackers"

Solid and wait for them to blunder;90% of the players here under 1800 are going to make a stupid blunder in the first 35 moves or miss a 4 half-move tactics!
Agressive is against players weaker than you!
If you want to win!
Except I’m talking about 2200+ titled players

Just a quick question. When I am playing games against players higher rated than me, do you think I should play aggressive lots of tactics openings, or should I play a solid hard to break defensive opening.
aggressive- you've got nothing to lose
if you play defensively, the higher rated player will dismantle you with ease. You have to play aggressively, and give them troubles and make the position as confusing as possible.

Yes I think I can do well against them. Only because they probably won’t put much thought into the game, while I’ll consider each move for quite a while

the lower rated player has a much better chance beating the higher-rated player by throwing the game into complications. If a class A player tries to out-positional play a master, he will die just as quickly (or even more quickly) than if he tries tactics- the master just has too much understanding of the game.

ehh that is right take hm out of theory and into a wacky position
thats how you can win

I play Bird's openings against much higher-rated players. I know the position, he doesn't. Against everyone else I play 1.Nc3

Learn motifs of chess, which opening where to attack/defense etc. and play strategically.
Chess strategies majorily depends on pawn structure. and learn those.

Aggressive play just reduce draw rate by both parties .Therefore you increase your winning chance but also increase your lossingchance as well. statistically.. But playing chess strategically will eventually bring you to be a higher rated player yourself.

He cannot win, that is a silly goal! the goal is not to get destroyed in 40 moves!
a 1500 against a 2200 = 0% chance of winning!
Incorrect, If player A always beat player B,
Player A will have rating of infinity and player B will have zero rating. ( 700 rating difference means you still have around 2% chance of winning)

a fun attacking game is infinitely more intresting than a solid positional game where the lower rated player gets taken apart like a machine(1500s) by a mechanic (the 2200s)

I know a very old master that played daily ( before covid 19) against players around 1900 USCF and he very rarely lost ..maybe 1 game in 25....
A 1500 will have 0 chance!

There is no zero chance as you are not playing aginst 32 men Tablebase or perfect chess player.
Theoretically, a fool/monkey who is playing randomly has mathematically 1: 10^52 chance of beating strongest chess engine Stockfish.
