I know about FIDE USCF ECF/BCF and CFC are there any other chess rating federations ?

RomyGer

Of course ! I think each country has his own, like we in the Netherlands have the KNSB-rating for hundreds of club players ( the N stands for Netherlands and the S for Schaak/Chess, the KNSB is the Dutch Chess Alliance/League )

So pull your socks up, start a list of countries !

Germany has DWZ.

You really think every country has a federation?

Can you please give me info on the CCF (Congo Chess Federation)?  I've been so dying to join that Federation it's unexplainable the amount of pain I'm feeling.  Help me now!  (LOL!)

To 1899; don't waste your time; Thriller fan is located in North Carolina. its unexplainable the amount of pain i'm feeling. YEAH, RIGHT!

Alistair (The 1899Club) : we are both right ; but on the FIDE site I counted some 180 names of national chess federations, 54 in Europe, 34 in the America's, 41 in Africa and some 50 in Asia.

Of course some have a small number of members ( compare the list of players on chess.com ).

And please let's talk about national ratings in countries ( as I understood ChessMaster102's question correct..) and leave the politics out !  Thanks !

RomyGer

Post nr 1 gives 4 "ratings" and asked a question "are there any other"...

Only two answers were given in posts 2 and 4, let's all try to mention a lot more !

what benefits are you talking about?
chessmaster102

my question , just to clarify is about different methods of assigning ratings brought about by different federations

chessmaster102

you brought it up so im asking you. what are the benefits?

RonaldJosephCote

RonaldJosephCote

Since you can't block me on this site;  were waiting!

IF  you have deep pockets$$$, and IF your application isn't rejected, then why don't you talk to Eric about furthering the appreciation of chess to forgotten parts of the world!

Sorry for ruining your thread chessmaster102; I think he's been deleted now.  Thank You mods.    RomyGer please continue.

Belize_Chess_Federat

Chessmaster102 said nothing about national ratings in countries.  He asked which nations have chess rating federations.

Isn't that the same thing? Chess federations that have their own rating systems that are distinct from a FIDE rating.
