After 1. ... Kf7, white can win a knight with 2. Rxc6+, but black's king can run to the back rank, and I don't see a mate.
Amazing rook sacrifice
Nicely done, especially without any hints!
You just have to see what squares are covered by the minor pieces. If you pay attention to that, the answer becomes fairly clear. I hope I'll be able to play like this in all of my games! XD

You can see an ending where you're down by three minor pieces for a rook though, surely?

not really, thats a lost endgame, 2 minors is already better than a rook there, especially since they are 2 bishops, and to add a knight to that wouldnt really give black hope

Not to mention White's rook dominates the seventh rank and Black's rooks are stuck in awful positions. White is totally dominant after Kf7, the ending in the game was nice though, nice find :-)
Very nice, but I would hardly call this position even ... Nh4+ Kh5 (Kf6 Re6+) g3 also wins, by more than an exchange.

Me neither, but I like this line: 1. Re6+ Kf7 2. Ng5+ Kf8 3. b3 g6 (Rd3 Ba6 loses exchange and pawn) 4. Ba3+ Kg7 5. d5 Nd4 6. Re7+ Kf6 7. h4 Nxh7+ 8. RxN RxR 9. Ke5 Rxc7
Hmm, I suppose 2. RxN and 3. Rxc7 is a lot easier.
2 MINUTES PER MOVE!!!!!! not time control for the whole game, we each had 2 minutes each to move each move :D
This is one of my most amazing endings ever, i think >_<, well its a against mightypawn OTB at a school....., time control is 2 minutes per move
As you can see, it was equal until that, i think >_<, well anyways i thought this was unique in itself, what do you think?!
