An idea of Chess.Com ratings for rapid (10 minutes per player format)

Hello, I have been playing on Chess.Com for quite some time now, and I have a rating of 1850-1900 on the Rapid format, where each player gets 10 minutes. I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of whether it's an okay rating, and what rating is considered somewhat good. Please note that I am specifically talking for the Rapid format.

Chess has a very wide range of skill. A beginner will think 1850-1900 rapid is impossibly good, and a GM will think it's impossibly bad tongue.png

It depends on your goals. If you're happy with your rating, then that's good.

As someone rated 2296 in rapid a 1900 rating is not good.

OK but in all seriousness 1900 is very strong. I mean you can just check your percentile, you’re in, what? 97%?

As someone rated 1000 in rapid a 1900 rating is REALLY good.

Well i'm not trying to grind my rating so

It is all relative. Besides, technically 10|0 is still blitz, not rapid. Standard rapid is 15|10.

Looks like he's 99.6%... at 2000 I'm already 99.8%, wow.

10|0 might be the easiest pool of players... IDK.
