Android chess.com app requires access to Identity, Location, and Files; why?

Conspiracy is taking it too far, but I am curious to hear if there is some reasonable explanation.

Anybody knows why the Android chess.com app requires access to:
Identity
Location
Photos/Media/Files
It looks like pretty extensive permissions for a Chess play app, and I even have a paid account at chess.com.
I asked support@chess.com the same almost 2 weeks ago, but they have been unable to give a reply.
