Annoyingly forced to watch "Top Game" during Live Chess anyone?

This is a phenomenon I've noticed only recently so perhaps there's been a change... but lately when i'm playing a Live Chess game Chess.com has been switching my screen over to observing the current Top Game at random times.

This occurs randomly and without warning and was highly confusing at first. Yes I realize now that my game is still there in a tab and that I just have to click back to it but this wasn't obvious to me at first. I abandoned a few games because I assumed it was a bug and my game had been lost. But either way when this happens (and it seems truly random) I lose time in my short Live Game and it's very distracting and annoying to be yanked out of your active game to watch a game that you have no interest in.

Is this a new feature? Is there a way to turn it off?

And does anyone else find this as annoying as I do?

Some people in chat told me they've experienced the same thing. An automatic switch to the "Top Game" while they were trying to play Live Chess.

Annoying.

You can disable to see the top game when you connect to live chess. And if you want to see it, search it in the window below the graph. 

disable it in settings.
