Yep. Last time I played I lost though...final score 585-579...
any other chess players dig scrabble

I tried to get 'antidisestablishmentarianism' on a quadruple triple word score going vertical then horizontal - but it wouldn't accept it. Very ordinary game.

I have played scrabble longer than I've played chess, but now I've started chess I can see it is a much better game because there is no luck involved. Scrabble can be frustrating when your opponent gets both blanks plus a lot of the other good letters (and when they find the most obscure words in less than 2 seconds). In chess it is entirely down to your own skill and doesn't rely on knowledge of obscure words; therefore it is much more challenging and satisfying. However, when my brain hurts from analysing a chess position or when I make a stupid blunder and get thrashed I do like to relax with a bit of scrabble......

I love Scrabble - I play with the TWL dictionary because there's fewer obscure two letter word combinations than in the SOWPODS dictionary.
The Internet Scrabble Club has an old interface, but it works great and you get plenty of good games.
i just think it's relaxing after playing chess sometimes its frustrating?
