Ok so its not freaking Carlson's pick of choice... wtf
Any thoughts on Mieses Opening: Reversed Rat

??? Maybe you'd get some response if you posted some moves to comment on.
Hey NimzoRoy, thanks for the comment, here's a game I pulled from a month or so ago, that my alignment of bad moves, trying to mask as good moves, my dad totally took control and won eaily in 35 moves. I think it was the Mieses opening the same here, which is 1. .. e6.

Its numbered at A00, and the page on chess.com has some good interesting stuff listed by bloggers, http://www.chess.com/opening/eco/A00_Mieses_Opening
I will challenge you mate, some time.. Lige

It looks like a suckass opening IMHO drop it like a hot potato and follow GM Reti's advice in Masters of the Chessboard and play open games specifically 1.e4 e5 whenever possible as white AND black and don't move on to semi-open games (ie single KP and Double QP Openings) until you've got a handle on open games and get familair with semi-open games before moving on to closed games (Single QP and many irregular openings, although these are all rules of thumb: it's possible to get a closed game from many variations of the Ruy Lopez and open games from single QP openings for instance)

Hi Nimzo, or Ninzys, ha, thanks for taking time to help me out with some mild instruction pointed with good intent, but I am not sure what QP and KP but I will watch the video you kindly introduced, helping myself to the answer there if it is readable. Yes, "suckass" may really and truly describe this opening, I was thinking of getting into some calculated learning of Sicilian and Benko variations in both white and black as a starting point for some real structure in trying to plan with strategy and acquaintance with some versatile tactics, how else would I challenge and beat players >1500 rate which is the provident-minded goal. having a structured plan. Have you thoughts on Tal Benko's Gambit, I'd heard it worked great and was under-used..?? From what I looked at it works toward strategy of having an advantage of space control and domination in the middle thru endgame. Again, thanks for jotting me a note, I know I will challenge you when I feel some possible more strength of strategy, which I know might also be accepted in perfunctory.
Here's a good chess.com strategy networking on Benko's Gambit, full accepted, in case you need to sharpen your skills, bro http://www.chess.com/opening/eco/A58_Benko_Gambit_Accepted_Fully_Accepted_Variation

I'd keep my opening studies to a minimum for now, sometimes I'll look an opening up after I've just played it in a blitz game and try to learn just a few more moves then I knew before or what I should've played if I bungled the opening.
Concentrate on tactics trainer, chess mentor (very instructive) and endgames, check out my endgame blogs
Do you or your dad own any chess books?

Yes, I just asked my dad for two or three books, I will send you the titles. I have a Seirwan book called Tactics, which is edited by Kasparov in fact. I will view your blog. I much appreciate your input. I have learned so much from Tactics trainer and the chess mentor and further yes. Would you be able to consider online lessons, where we could possible chat on the phone, I'd get a foreign exchange card and contact you, possibly? = Best wishes for a Merry Christmas, or a pleasant Arab Spring, which ever you celebrate thankfully and full intended.

I just played this opening accidentally got checkmate in 10. I meant to move my d-pawn to D4 and instead moved it to D3. I'm really curious about this opening cuz I set up a discovered checkmate even though it didn't have to be a discover checkmate it was if he moves his Queen in front I take his Queen with my Bishop with a check but he instead moved his King to his left And got a checkmated
I doctored up some computer generated analysis on this with the website engine, my dad keeps using it, and has beaten me bad sometimes.
