Why would you need to delete it? Can't you just change your file associations so that it uses the program you choose to open it?

Bro...I am so computer unsavvy I have no idea what to do after reading the link you sent me. What application am I supposed to change it to so I can open and read the PGNs I save as well as the games I had analyzed and emailed to me from chess.com. What do the thousands of Apple users on this site use who must experience the same issue? I appreciate you trying to help me out but still do not know how to fix this issue. If you or anyone else reading this post can give provide any aditional info, that would be great. Thanks
When I try to open a PGN or save it and then try to open it, or when I receive an email from chess.com that my game has been analysed, I get the following message:
The document chess.com games _(212142)_2014_8_1_8_4_pm.PGN could not be opened. Chess cannot open files in "The Moves (PGN) format.
Apparently Apple comes with a chess program that I never new about. Would deleting this program fix the issue and if so, how do you uninstall it.
And for all your Apple haters, please don't tell me to buy a windows machine.
Thxs everyone.
