Are you a righty or a lefty?

I've been thinking about my own brain and how I process information.  In some research I was doing online I found this interesting blog post:

I don't know if there is any scientific base or any truth in this post or the previous. Luckily enough that doesn't matter. Since every conclusion based on a reasoning process will be tested anyway, whether the reasoning process is faulthy or not.

From my previous hodgepodge I distilled the following idea's:
The left hemisphere of the brain handles concepts, the right hemisphere handles chess intuition. Education is almost entirely aiming at the development of the left part of the brain. Once dominant, the left part supresses the right part.

That's why adults have problems with chess improvement. The left eye is connected to the right hemisphere. Right now I'm experimenting with problemsolving while looking only through the left eye. I prevent thinking and conceptual reasoning as much as possible. Allthough it is way too early to draw any conclusions, my rating at CTS soon boosted to 1550, while 1530 was the average I had when I quit exercising after a very long streak. It is a very weird way of exercising for me and it is quite unclear of that weirdness is benificial in any way. But then again, asking for usefulness is typical for a lefty:)

Right brain side is creative, left solves problems..

With your love for computer engines I would have to suggest you are a left brainer Manic :). (sarcasm if you didn't get it)

I'm right -handed (left brained) but I play chess very intuitvely. Does this suggest that I'm playing chess with my right side of the brain but moving the pieces with my left side. I'm confused!

im a righty and yea, i play chess intuitively...

i am lefty. my problem has more to do with being impulsive and not looking at the lay of the land.. before setting forth.

Sorry to burst your bubbles, but the right-brain/left-brain theory has been disproven. It's not true that one side is creative and the other logical.

i am predominantly left-brained but become right-brained when playing chess. right-brained people have more weird handwriting.

Ok so I tried playing with just my left eye, and found one of my more impressive and creative checkmates that I can remember.  Maybe there is something to this!

Nope, that would skew the results.

The left side of my brain is working a lot more than my right in most situations. This doesn't affect my chess playing though, as I am too lazy to think properly anyways.
