That was going to be my response. There really isn't much more to say about it. I'm sure someone will bring up Nimzo and toilet jokes and so on. I think I'll duck out before that happens.

Depends are the adult diaper of choice for slot machine addicts.  Can't see why they wouldn't work just as well for chess.  I sense an endorsement opportunity here. . .

No, trolls are mean. I was actually curious and having a little fun. It's not like I suggested chess-themed toilet paper or anything.

You can get up anytime you want and go do what ever...but...your clock will still be running. So if it's during a blitz game you might want to see if youcan wait until the game is finished. Assuming you have better bladder control than a 5 year old that is.

A couple of times in the morning I've started grinding coffee which takes a minute or two with a burr grinder, then I pee while leaving it grinding.   That's when I remember how long a good pee can take. The grinder runs out of beans and I'm still standing there peeing, trapped. I don't like the burr plates spinning against each other because it wears them down and I don't want stainless steel in my coffee.  But I'm stuck there. So I can imagine blitz chess. 10 or 15 minute game, okay - gives me time to collect my thoughts and clear my head, but ... 5 minute? No way!

Time to switch to Sanka then.

Grand Masters don't leave to pee in the middle of a blitz game, they've just learned to play with a tinkle in their eye.
