Arena Chess GUI

I'm looking at getting a GUI interface that can read chess engines. Is Arena Chess GUI safe to download? I was about to run the .exe file but was concerned because it sad the publisher was unknown. If anyone knows if it's safe or know a better GUI please tell me. Thank you!

Yes I did the http://www.playwitharena.de/ one. I just got a new computer and have not installed an antivirus on it so just want to be safe.

I've been using Arena for years. The official web site has recently changed, but in my opinion, the new web site is safe. (I've actually installed a copy of Arena from the new site.)

Now, whether you can keep viruses off your PC due to other reasons is another matter.

One thing I forgot to mention in the other thread - make a couple of copies of the recovery disks and/or system repair disks. (I'm assuming Windows 10 still does this?) You might need them some day.

OK, so I've managed to have Arena working... how do I play chess.com in the browser with connected DGT board? I know in the options, but it gives me the error and option to retry (always fail).

Hey, I have used Arena for some time with no issues but I somehow got rid of the window at the bottom that shows u evaluation and the best moves and I can't find how to get it back. any advice?

Try right-clicking your mouse cursor on the board and see if there's a setting for "Show analysis area" in the context-sensitive menu.

arena is the worst for analysis....use chess base reader with stockfish....its really good and practical.

i downloaded arena and got all hacked it come up with emergency cyber attack and to end up i had to scrub my pc and it was from the official website

and now when i want to download it my antivirus blocks it from the official website
