Bad days in chess

Unfortunately, I have to say that lately my progress in chess weakened so smuch. I try to do some tactics exercises with chess trainer everyday but my actual games are apparently much worse than before. It is disturbing for me. As can be seen, bad days finally came for my chess development. I am not as focused as always and even make foolish blunders. Maybe I am a little bit tired of chess..Maybe I need a short break .. Who knows. Have You guys experienced something like that in your chess life ? Can You Help me somehow? I will be grateful for Your good advice. Take care and much love.

I did a search forums for you and there are lots of previous threads asking for, and receiving, advice on how to get out of a slump.  Maybe some of the advice will help; at least you know you're not alone.  Good luck!

Take a short break! Do something other than Chess during the break!

Deep_Uranium

So I did :) 1 day break. It think it is enough. I feel new power now. In addition alnalyzing all my lost battles helped me a lot. So thanks and let's get it on again.

Chess is a cold-blooded, heartless goddess, but we love her anyway.

I'm currently participating in round 3 of the Mindgames online chess tournament in the final 22 of the initial 2289 entrants, and I am losing and drawing game after game and hardly winning any, so I understand how it can be frustrating not to perform to your hopes and expectations.

I wonder how I can make the mistakes I make now against IMs and FMs, much like I did when I made mistakes against 1400s 5 years ago when I would lose to them.  Challenges will always exist for you.

And as in any game and in life, you have your chances and choices.  The better you get, the harder your losses, the more you understand your mistakes, and the greater and longer you can resist and create chances for yourself.  The learning experience is never easy but it can be very rewarding, and there is always something worth playing for.  It is important to realize that there are always people who have worked harder and longer, with their own approaches and problems and solutions, and all we can do is to learn from their example and adapt to the circumstances that we endure.

True! And chess lovers ,unless they are professionals, will not mind losing to a better player though it hurts !

No need to worry! For every bad chess day you have, someone else will get a lucky chess day. :)

Every once in awhile, I get a bit jaded with chess. It's like having eaten too many gingerbread cookies. This is how I feel at the moment. I'd rather do something physical and less cerebral rather than cogitate over one more chess move.

But I also know that this is normal and the feeling will pass. Yes, the chess goddess has us in the palm of her hand. There is no escape once she sinks her fangs into our jugular.

Proof? Look at what she did to so many of the greats. All of them. Go ahead, have a seance with Bobby Fischer and ask him.

One conlcusion - Chess can be so cruel that sometimes I think leaving it but sooner that can be expected I am starting to miss them and  make my way back to the chess.

Thanks for your posting. Good points of views, good advices. Thanks good people.
