Beginner thinking of next move

Hey,

I have developed an interest in chess lately and trying to learn as I play.

I was stuck in a tricky situation in a game, and wanted to know how good players develop mid game strategies. I am attaching the screen shot of the board, and I am white with my turn right now.

Can someone suggest a move or a thinking line which helps me in this game? I am thinking of playing knight to E2.

Hi, great to see you have joined a chess site and have an interest in improving. Without spoon feeding you moves, have you considered any direct threats your opponent might have? Also, looking through your game scoresheet, you should focus on developing your pieces in the opening. Moves like a4 that early are normally less preferable than moves that control the more important central squares. Good luck and enjoy your new skill!

It's against the rules to post an ongoing game and ask for advice. Even posting one without asking for advice is considered borderline illegal, since other posters might offer tips on your game, not realizing that it is still in progress.

You can post your games AFTER they are over.

Absolutely not allowed to ask about ongoing games. Seeking advice is considered cheating.

There is a game analysis section you can post your game to after it is over to request comments upon game play or specific moves. I have not looked at your game at all. Good luck. happy.png

Youre cheating asking for help.
