Chess Players Gone Wild! Wooo hooo!
Show me your pieces!
I like Fritz Trainer DVd's. A lot of them are on openings. But I suggest you try their middlegame DVD's first...they are quite good. Go to cessbase website and go to shop and select middlegame Fritz Trainers. Danny King has produced 10 DVD's in Power Play series and they are excellent. I hope that helps.

Yea any of the Chessbase DVDs are going to benefit you - they are wonderfully done, rich with information and relatively cheap. I have several of them and coulnd't be happier with the quality.
agreed. GingerGM have produce a lot of great DVD such as Killer French, Killer Grand Prix and Killer Endgame. read more on their blog.

@bluejunk: Lilov Opening repertoire for the positional player is definetaly the worst DVD I own. I am still asking myself where that repertoire might be hidden. He sits there for hours saying you could play this and that, but no real analysis no connection. Especially as he is shuffling through totally different opnings.
@ OP the powerplay series by Danny King is really good.

I like many of Roman Djinjihashvili's (spelling?) DVDs in the "Roman's Lab" series. He looks scruffy, the graphics are occasionally unprofessional, now and again the position on display does not match the position he is discussing, and at times he mumbles incoherently, but the content seems very good, and that is what really matters. Would you agree or disagree?
@ModestAndPolite, I agree partly. There is a big difference in the quality of his DVDs and I have seen ~40 of Roman. Also he has some pet examples like one line of the Scotch gambit which he shows at least three times, as far as I recall it was in context of middlegame planning, pawn structures and I don't remember the third. For my taste he is sometimes spending too much time on one example.
But yes, some of his DVD are really worth watching.
Anyway, before buying a DVD of him, look at some of his videos on this site. Actually there are ~80.
I don't get on well with chess books in general but I do fancy treating myself to a DVD or 2. What would you say are the best DVD's available for the intermediate player? Thanks for your suggestions.
