Play Magnus is really bad, just waste of MB
Besides Chess.com, the apps I have found most useful are Analyze This (for game analysis), Chessbase ($10) , and iChess tactics. It is a shame that Chesstempo doesn't have an app. I would definitely pay for their puzzles. Their browser interface is way to clumsy for my device.
if you like puzzle you have Tactic Trainer but the free version have ads

It seems good.
Chess from AI I think is free, and it has no evaluation. There should be 12 levels in the latest version, mine has 10.
Does Mobialia Chess have evaluation? I am not too crazy about 3D, is there also 2D?
ChessGenius, I wouldn't consider this based on the screenshots. Looks too amateurish compared to the other three. Maybe someone has an update if I am wrong.
