I am considering to upgrade my computer at some time. I am looking which CPU I should use for it.

I did some research and I find the AMD ryzen 9 and epyc series and the Intel i9 series very good, but I don't know which one ist the best.

Honestly I would not invest in a computer for chess analysis it’s a wash. NN engines don’t really benefit in playing strength like before NN. I remember when stockfish 14 was out and it wasn’t really any stronger on an amd running stockfish with 32 threads. than it was on an ancient intel 4 core. I know this because I had an intel i5 2500 and my friend had the amd. If you’re buying a new cpu+mb+ram make sure you do it for actual gaming. Or anything besides chess analysis. It won’t actually benefit you. And I dare say no matter how rock solid an opening line you think you’ve cooked up on a monster of a cou……in practice it would be no match for the smartphone in the toilet trick.
