Music is a big part for online chess to me. OTB I just want quiet and few distractions/minimizing distractions in my head. Online though, I am almost always listening to music. It greatly depends on my mood, the chess position/situation, time controls and so on.
Typically, short time controls means fast-paced music like rock & roll; longer time controls means more meditative such as classical music (ha, just realized 'classical' music for 'classical' time controls xD)
Like I said though, I base it out of the situation and my mood.

Here are some of mine to get us started
Just in a "chess" mood? Then Try the Len Kagamine (Vocaloid) song Checkmate
About to begin an arena tournament on chess.com where streaks (being undefeated especially) give bonus points? Then how about Undefeated from Skillet? (AMV for tv show The Flash)
Just starting a Puzzle Rush attempt? Jiggywiggy's Puzzle Challenge from Banjo-Tooie.
And so on
I play a lot of chess
It is easier to play more chess with better music, so you have an infinite loop I see ...
I guess?
I get stuck on youtube playlists that last for hours. When Something comes up that I like I bookmark it.
So I have, lets say, 100 bookmarks, but many of them go to playlists with similar sounding music.
I mostly like electronic stuff, or at least no lyrics, and high energy.
how do you loop?
lol - I meant good music makes it easier to play more chess and @llama44 had good music.
Also, YouTube videos can be looped by right-clicking the video (for PC) and "Loop" is the first option. Click "Loop" and the video should start again when finished. Personally, I use a clip converter to save my songs on an SD card/Flashdrive, but YouTube looping is fine too if you don't mind having another tab open.
This is my favourite:
