use this if you want quick points. it starts to fail at around 1750 but is broken if the opponent doesnt know the counter.
So actually, I am not really that great at this game but this placement won me all my games and there are many variations to it, the main position is :
I've seen many people spam knights because they are cheap and they are generally stronger than rooks, bishops, and queens. I've been using this strategy that beats knight spam, and usually beats any other setup, but occasionally draws.
Since this variant has only been out for a little bit, I'm sure better setups will be discovered. But I believe this setup is great because:
-the king is safe
-the queen is great for middle/endgame, scooping up pawns. I believe you get the most value out of the 7 points.
-you already have 6 knights which is good enough to control a lot of squares
-you have the maximum amount of pawns which will likely lead to closed positions. rooks and bishops will be worse there.
-the extra pawns can give an advantage in the endgame with a good kingside majority.
Edit: I just lost, so obviously this setup isn't the best. I'm starting this discussion to try and figure out what the best setup is.
