Best way to attract players to an Active Chess Club

It's simple. Hold membership giveaway tournament and you will get crazy amount of people joining in.
What would be the best way to invite new players to our chess club? I personally have been playing chess on chess.com for several years, and the club has been created for almost as long. However, I would like to grow the club and make sure we have a positive vibe with people interested in the game of chess.
We are looking for new team members to be able to compete at a higher level and with more players.
