Poor Americans!
Beware chess makes you fat!.

I once met an Welsh and to this day he is the only person I have ever met with fat toes and he didn't even play chess.

What's worse is it's addictive qualities. This site in particular is guilty of further enhancing the already addictive game of chess by adding ingredients not normally found in the game in its natural form. Things like puzzles and tactics, discussion forums and blogs simply leave users of this site with little chance of their own to avoid becoming slaves to this hazardous past-time. What's even worse is that I heard a rumour that they are working on a kid's site. That's right, directly targeting our children in order to indocrinate the next generation of users. Have they no shame?
TheGrobe is being very mean and crazy
I try to log on and play a live chess match everyday or atleast 5 times per week.
Im not fat.
Therefore your post is false.

I once met an American and to this day he is the only person I have ever met with fat ears and he was only 11 years old.
lol about the fat kid.
76% are morbidly obese? You'd think 3 out 4 people I see would be really fat, but in reality maybe only 1 in 20, or less are. Maybe all the fat people stay at home? I think people visiting america will be disappointed/relieved. We're not all gun carrying, 300 pounds, and illiterate I don't own a gun, I'm 65 kilos (145 pounds), and I don't even own a TV... in fact you can come to my house, we'll play chess.

Scandinavians aren't particularly slim. What about them?
As someone who has lived in Scandinavia (and the US), I can assure you that your above statement is largely incorrect.
I'm tired of the Scandinavian-bashing on these forums.

Chess doesn't make you fat, it's the vast quantities of beer and pizza that you consume while playing chess.
lol

Indigenous Americans, Mr. Honda. Wonder how the indigenous folks are doing in other nomadic civilizations that have since become sedentary. Hmmmm...genetics?

Are you sure? I had a friend with me in Denmark and she said Scandinavians are slim...but when I started pointing out everyone around, she swore she'd never noticed how many heavy set people there are.

This website may cause life threatening obesity in the USA if not accompanied by a calorie controlled diet.
Actually calories have nothing to do with being fat. This misconception is the reason why many people can't lose weight. It's not calories that make you fat, it is CARBONHYDRATES that make you fat. Too much bread, sugar, rice, spagetti makes you fat. If you're on a low-carb diet you can sit on your ass all day without gaining any weight = this site isn't dangerous as long as you don't eat bad food.

I had a power outage here yesterday evening for a couple of hours and started getting withdrawal symptoms. Or maybe that was 'cause I couldn't make myself a coffee!

When I lived in London a cosmopolitan city if ever there was one I used to play a game called guess the nationality. I had a 97% hit rate on the morbidly obese super-sized tourists as I always plumped for American.
The only time I got it wrong was when my Mother-in-Law got on the tube and she's half English half hippo.

My Mother in Law is so fat she has her own gravitational system. I have tried to get her into running. Every morning she would get up and run 4 miles - she kept it up for a whole month. She's still fat but at least now she's 120 miles away.

I thought it was fat that made you fat.
Given that 76% of indigenous Americans are now morbidly obese isn't it well past time that Chess is compulsorily banned in the USA on health grounds?
This should start in all Public Schools since such sedentary activities as chess only serve to fuel the obesity pandemic amongst the naturally idle American youth.

Remember the hot coffee case with Macdonalds after which all take-away hot beverages sold to Americans had to state Contents may be hot.
Litigation beware. Chess.com you should carry a health warning.
