Blindfold Chess/Simultaneous Exhibitions

Hello,

I have been following agadmators coverage of a blindfold simultaneous exhibition held by Morphy, and had a few questions as to how these events actually play out:

Since it is a 'simultaneous' exhibition, the games are played simultaneously, e.g.

Game 1: 1. e4 e5

Game 2. 1.e4 d5

Game 1. 2. nf3 nf6

Game 2. 2. exd5 qxd5

etc etc.

So my question is.......in an example where 8 games are played at a time.....and it gets to move 15 or what not...is Morphy able to review the lines played in each game, or must keep track of the position and moves of all games at once without ever having any reference at all?!?

Thanks

He plays without a reference.

When you get better at chess, you’re able to memorize more, so it’s quite easy to go through the game from the start. It’s harder to actually find the moves.
