The one I will remember was not a message or even a word:
I was playing GM Sevillano in a simul in Reno. He was a pawn up but I thought I saw an idea to get my pawn back and get a drawn rook endgame. He came to the board, I made my move, and he made a tiny annoyed sound, smaller than a snort--just barely audible.
He then used the rest of the game to give me an intense quiz on my rook endgame technique. But I knew it was a draw, and I was right.
