Bring back the Russian flag 🇷🇺

Hate the regime, not russians. I understand top players using FIDE flag just to not get associated with the war, but it shouldn´t be necessary. The Z and the russian flag, people and culture is not the same. That association is only Kreml propaganda.

Players from Russia are welcome, so long as they don't explicitly support the invasion of Ukraine, like Karjarkin, so they can actually still play chess, participate in the forums, use the learning tools. Blaming Chess.com on this topic is utterly stupid and disingenuous.

Explicit support for Putin and using his avatar? I look forward to the mods and the site seeing this and removing it, giving you a warning and hopefully a ban, which will hide all of your other moronic comments. Bye!

Who else are you supposed to blame when your flag is removed on chess.com? Many Russian players are facing discrimination on this site, regardless of their viewpoint on current events. They are not being "welcomed", they are simply being discriminated and labeled by their flag, not their person or actual viewpoints on current events. Some people want Russians gone from this site completely. But it's easy to enforce punishment on the good side of justice.

How about the authoritarian dictator who is invading another sovereign country and killing its citizens? Or are you perfectly cool with that because of, well, "Nazis"?

Their Russian flag doesn't appear. That's it - in every other way, the site is treating them the same as every other member ie. no political discussion in the public forums.

And Chess.com does not want them gone, and locks threads calling for their banning because that's also political discussion. Calling this "punishment" is ridiculous and indicative of the same mindset that says "it's not guns that kill people but people who kill people" and therefore refuses to implement anything even remotely sensible like background checks.
