But this is irrational

let's assume that chess is a game of speed and for that reason with perfect play from both sides White wins

let's then assume that a genius player like myselfTongue Out found the most precise line for both sides

logically that for Black it must be the line that gives Black the longest move number

then there other worse lines that give Black a shot at a draw or even winning but for the price of losing more quickly

I my self would choose the second option as best but it's for sorrow irrationality

so is logic irrational some times or is it just me that is irrational??????

The most precise moves 30 moves deep have been found at least, it's called the main line Najdorf.

There are some great openings where black can go for the full point, the catch is white usually knows the book too (Sicilian, Dutch, Nimzo/Queen's Indian systems, different Ruy Lopez, etc.)

I think white has a forced with with 1.e4,e5 2.Nf3,Nc6 3.Bb5,f5?  yet it's somehow still seen in top play and I don't think the actual win has been discovered yet.

The Dutch also might have a refutation:  1.d4,f5 2.Nf3,g6 3.h4,Nf6 4.h5,Nxh5 5.Rxh5!,gxh5 isn't comfortable for black in the least.

Scorpionpackattack:

well the Najdorf is good but not necessarily best for Black besides white will always has surprising resources here or there unless chess is exhausted analytically which is almost impossible

about the Ruy Lopez ..f5 variation , Black may win even in top level because to win in top level right from the opening needs much briliancy so Black just makes things too complicated for that and wins some times but if a top player found his computer match that is equal to him and played that line against that computer I think he will never win or even get a draw maybe

about the dutch I don't know sounds good to me to irritate BlackSealed
