Can beat 2000 elo bot but can't stand a chance to a 1000 player

Hello everyone

So recently I've been improving in chess by mostly practicing with bots, I can normally beat a 1600, and if I put in effort, a 2000 elo bot (Li), so once I felt prepared, I started to play against actual people (I still don't have a rating), and right now I just lost to a player that is 1100 rated.

Why is this? Why can I beat a 2000 elo bot, but struggle and lose to a 1100?

It’s mostly because some bots are overrated I’m 228 rated and can beat a 1100 bot but lose to people in the two hundreds hope this helps

All of the website's bots are intentionally programmed to randomly play completely stupid moves, even at the highest levels. A higher Elo bot may play in a more solid manner, but the main difference is that it also has a lower chance of these misfires occurring; this happens until you start to reach Stockfish level, where that chance is basically nil.

Meanwhile, humans don't intentionally throw games (unless they wanna get banned for sandbagging), so...yeah.

Additionally, some bots tend to have one-note playing styles, specifically designed to allow players to teach themselves how to counter said styles. (Sven's overly defensive play, Nelson being too gung-ho with the queen, Li being the total opposite of Sven, etc.) Once you figure out how to counter the way they play, of course they're going to seem easier.

The 1100's here don't play like 1100's. Let's just leave it at that. You should go play OTB for a genuine measure of your ability. Online chess is terrible for mental health.

I'm a beginner so you'll have to spell it out for me. Are 1100's here better or worse than 1100s OTB?

The bots here are completely off level. I played the 275 rated valentines day bot the other day and barely won. However, I have beat all the bots up to a 2000 level on the bot list. Currently I am completely unable to be the RJ valentines day bot and he's supposed to be 1350. Currently from what I am seeing he's playing at a 1900 rating every game I play again him. One game he had 95.5 opening, 57 mid, and 97.5 end game accuracy. However, hes still supposed to be a 1350 bot lol.

Online play is crazy in itself as well. I have played people at the 1100 range that are near 100% accurate on their games against me. I feel like every game I play on this site im playing against a GM level player. Utilizing an engine is so easy, and Chess.com doesn't seem to care as long as it's not to often. Lol Seeing people with 50% accurate games mostly playing near 100% accurate against me is annoying.

Bots follow a specific style and usually stick to certain patterns.
