Can't help wondering how many others are reading this while drinking coffee.  wink  So, my guess would be no, although most chess clubs don't allow smoking so maybe having someplace to go where you can't light up might help.

I know you must have been told to control your urge to smoke a little less everytime, that is to delay or push your urge to smoke.

well maybe it can, it helps some people with addictions

I have been caffeine and nicotine free going on 8 years.  I agree with #8, addictions are more managed than “cured”. Once it is out of your system it gets easier to stay the corse.  But in the beginning it is quite the struggle.

No. If you play long games, especially OTB, you'll need more coffee.

@OP, coffee's not so bad, but try to ditch the cigs. They're bad for your health and your wallet...

No it cannot.  I am drinking coffee and smoking right now Lol

@xbrenbrenx  Addiction being incurable is a very popular concept and believed by many for sure. I've started to view it differently. I think never being cured only benefits the drug companys, therapists etc.. and not the individual. I know of people who have gone 20 years without, and no longer crave it one bit. If anything, they are disgusted by it. I'd call that cured happy.png

Mybe TMI but I'm starting 63 days of rehab really soon  bahah happy.png
