Indians loves to friendly chat like how are you or what but an arrogant indian chess player like you stated here are rare. Forgive them, and just move on. Also, if it still upset you; if you met an Indian player and your two or three checkmate away from winning, trashtalk them too lol.

The opponents may be younger than you think. It may be a case of skill level outpacing maturity level. India has very impressive chess program and a lot of early education outreach with up and coming prodigies. Indian people have a reputation as an exceptionally polite culture, but wherever you go, kids will always be kids.
Bah my thick skin... but you can block one at a time if ya feeling it...
Yea I met some folks like that from india, mexico US or whatever... I usually make them quiet!

As an Indian i am sorry that you ad bad experience by playing to some people of our country but i assure you these people are very rare. Most of Indians are truly having high sportsmanship. I also many times get such people from other countries but i don't judge the country by them. Pls ignore such people. Best reply for such people is defeating them and i do it for all people who try to tend to spoil fair play. I would tell you that pls don't judge my country by such cheap people. Remember every place is having some bad people it doesn't mean that whole place is bad.

Indians are quite respectful but i dont know. Maybe too much using internet seeing abusive things
My last two recent games was against an Indian. I left the games as soon as they started. Now the Indian is banned for cheating and I received a rating adjustment. Too many of them from India. I did the right thing by abandoning those games.
