Can you get an impatient person into chess?

So my wife is very impatient with logical games and only prefers trivia games. She’s not into any board games at all due to her impatience. It would be nice to get her into chess but it seems impossible at the moment.

Anyone in similar situation and any success in getting someone into chess?

Chess is a very patient game but there are different time controls to make it a fast paced game

It's not about the time but the technical aspect of it, calculating, strategies etc...

Since she enjoys trivia, try to frame chess as a puzzle-solving activity. Explain that each move in chess is like solving a small puzzle, and that mastering it requires logical thinking—similar to what she enjoys in trivia games.

Blitz! When I started chess, I was also quite impatient and thus I started off with 1 min blitz, it was very engaging and I enjoyed it a lot so I got more into chess and well yh. Try that.

Dude, how about not trying to force your wife into doing what she doesn't want to do? It's a lot less expensive to leave her alone than to get the divorce you seem to be headed for. Try to stop being so controlling. This can't be the only way you're trying to control her.

I'm not trying to force her anything grin.png Where on earth did you get that from? If she doesn't want to play with me then it's ok, we have tons of other stuff we like to do together. Chess happens to be my hobby that I love and was thinking how nice it would be to get her as excited about it as me. But anyways, thank for your marriage advice wink.png
