Carlsen vs Computer???

The supremacy of machine over man is unquestionably or Champion could do something and beat artificial intelligence?
 I
t’s almost 20 years since IBM’s Deep Blue famously beat Garry Kasparov at chess, becoming the first computer to defeat a human world champion.
Today computer would simply destroy human????

Have you watched any of the handicap or odds battles here on chess.com?

There's no question that in straight chess, humans have no chance. None.

But by all means, put up at least $100,000 to pay the best human for his time and rent a hall. If you do a halfway decent job, Magnus will probably show up.

Kasparov did not fear....but i agree, today computers are much stronger.
I yust want to believe that natural inteligence is better and smarter than artificial.
Maybe 5 best people together could beat computer?

I wouldn't agree about 5 players vs Magnus....
I don't think he will maintain his title next time.....

Kasparov should have won the rematch against Deep Blue with proper positional play. He tried to play anticomputer and failed. Not to mention his ridiculous cheating allegations. He let humanity down, 1997 was way too early to concede to the engines.

With the hardware power that Deep Blue had or more .... modern engines are unbeatable. My suggestion is a standadized set of hardware:

Collaboration typically lowers the level of play. Too many chefs spoil the pot kind of situation.

So Carlsen has a chance against 5 computers?

If they collaborated like humans, then maybe!

I think is someone uses 5 different 3000+ engines to work on each move by one of them sequentially, then it would be measurably weaker against just one of them for all moves.

(I mean engine 1 for move 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3, 4 for 4, 5 for 5 then 1 for move 6, 2 for move 7 etc.)
