So I tried to research some things about castling, and there are 6 general rules.
The king and the chosen rook are on the player's first rank.[3] Neither the king nor the chosen rook has previously moved. There are no pieces between the king and the chosen rook. The king is not currently in check. The king does not pass through a square that is attacked by an enemy piece.[4]The king does not end up in check. (True of any legal move.)What I'm particular focused at, is the first rule. The king and the chosen rook are on the player's first rank.
A very weird rule indeed, if the king nor the rook may be moved how come they can't be on the first rank? Well, one way to do it is if the e pawn reaches the 8-rank thus promoting to a rook. The the king nor the rook has moved, so I guess the rule is there to prevent that? But why is it so forbidden that you can't castle that way? Like 0-0-0-0 it would prob never happen in a real game, but couldn't beautfiul compositions/puzzles be made out of it?
1. e8=R!! This move mates the fastest ( 1. e8=Q Kg2 2. Qe2+ Kg1 3. Kd2# ) 1... Kg2 2. O-O-O-O!!# Crucial point: White king controls f3, and Whites king doesn't block his own rook on back rank.
Oops
/ Oh I see. You want the king to castle with the rook on e8 and you would put the king on e3 and the rook on e2.
Well, it's an amusing idea but if you start messing with the rules, there are a lot of insane things you can do. Black's king may get rescued by a space pirate queen, for example, which launches all the pieces from the board into hyperspace.
