Have anyone noticed that those players who are not registered will lose on clock due to some server clock cheat adjustments which favors registered members?  This is pure cheating and gives a sense of increased strength for registered users because they won on clock,  but it was adjusted by servers so that the UNREGISTERED will lose.  That's why I am not playing those with diamonds and with crowns beside their name.  This is pure discrimination of the server.

What you are seeing has nothing to do with premiusm versus basic. It is lag correction pure and simple:

And there are numerous reasons for lag, from things on your end, through all the many hops the traffic takes to get to the servers, to the servers themselves.

When my kids are downloading things or watching netflix, I see degradation in my connection to the site. That is one example and one that happens on the client side.

Thanks for that link Martin_Stahl,  but what I've experience is not a simple lag.  I know a lag and I also know if something is wrong.  The lag happens everytime I am paired with a premium member,  and everytime I ping every after a game against premiums, my lag reduces to my real latency.  So it is not a simple lag.  I've been playing online chess since 1997 from FICS, EICS, to ICC to chesscube and others.  So I am not a newbie on internet chess either.

Buy wired internet.

^Above: Most premium members are most likely rich, and therefore can afford it. That's probably the correlation.

There is no conspiracy.

I use my father's computer when I'm on chess.com. He is often running BitTorrent and more often than not, it is running while I am playing. On those occasions that it is not running, my lag decreases considerably and it's not even all that high when it is running.

As Martin_Stahl mentioned, there can be countless reasons why you are having problems which can really run the gamut.

The most likely scenario is that it is a problem on your end because if it were the servers themselves, then you would not be the only person experiencing the problem.

When it comes to Live Chess, there has to be some lag correction and it happens to everybody. It's a technical thing. There is really no way around it.

If it was due to some chess.com conspiracy to get people to buy the membership, then it would not be so easy to hide and then said conspiracy would cause a lot of people to leave the site. This would actually hurt the site. Chess.com makes money from ads for those who don't have the membership.

I love conspiracy theories too, but this man speaks the truth!  I don't use it myself but I think that big orange "cheat" button that premium members have should be removed as well.  I know it can only be used once a game, but really, giving premium members unfair advantage is despicable!

OMG the chess.com conspiracy has been uncovered. I told you all at the last Diamond Illuminati Conference that they would figure this out!

You are violating the first rule of the Conference.

Asfar as the world outside the Conference is concerned, the Diamond Illuminati do not exist.
