Thankfully you're not out of luck, the *.CBV file is of Chessbase format, but their are ways of converting it to PGN format. Is something you can send me that I can work with, or is it commercial material?

Good evening all!
i own an ipad2 with legitimate last updates software.
for it, i got a free app called Chess Viewer.
this app lets a player upload chess ebooks and databases.
the database must contain a *.pgn file extension.
as you see in the picture, one of my pals gave me a modern benony systems ebook...but it lacks the *.PGn file!
is there a way to extract/create pgn file from what you see in the image?
if so..how?
