Chess.com 4-player chess strategy

I don't reveal my strategies. They're way too powerful for mere mortals, and I don't want people copying my unbeatable moves.

Don't trade at all. Keep your army at full power. Then you can survive till end and get remarkable points with your huge army by checking mate. 4way chess is different from normal chess. If you know "game theory" , which is a theory for negotiation, you can have another excellent perspective.

If you don't trade at all you're going to have almost no points, and when it's only you vs the last person he can just resign knowing he has a lot more points than you and win the game anyway.
Not trading does seem to me to be preferable. E.g. if you trade queens with one player, the two of you are now down a queen against the other two, so there's a good chance that either one will crush you. That being said, I have been in a position before where I've resigned to win the game, which is pretty awesome - I don't know of another variant of chess where you can win by resigning .

While everyone pushes their pawns at the beginning, focus on development: knights out, rooks on your centre files and castled king. Then wait for some exchanges and your centre pawns will triumph!
Trading pieces really depends on the position, if you can gain some advantage or avoid disadvantage, by all means trade.

Congrats!
I also see that you played against battleMind24. He is the main developer of the 4 player chess variant.
Since the recent (I believe) addition of 4-player chess to chess.com, I have come up with a good strategy to follow:
TRADE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
Preferably as equally split with different opponents, since then you'll have more points.
Remember to pick up loose material, also.
What is your strategy? Or do you just do your best (which is totally acceptable for variants since there is not much theory built around them)?
I tried this, but I ended up with nothing but a rook and a few knights, which did nothing against my opponent's nearly complete army. I lost badly, despite being over twenty points more than anyone else when I was checkmated.
