Chess.com becoming the new Cheating Ground?

very frustrating thing about Chess.com is its inability to detect (or not bothering to detect) and ban occasional cheaters. I've been playing against chess engines since the Chess Master 3000 era, and I can instantly tell when I am facing an engine user. Normally, these occasional cheaters do not play very well, but then suddenly they play a couple of consecutive games with high accuracies (over 90%). After that, they revert to their original state. I believe consistency is key, and if a player has an average accuracy of, let's say, 85%, they can't suddenly become very good and then return to their original state. The most telltale sign is our gut feeling since people like me have encountered cheaters for many years. Now, I feel like Chess.com is heading in the direction of the FIDE Chess Arena, where cheaters roam freely.

The perception of cheating levels is orders of magnitude more than the actual amount.

The site closed more than 91,000 accounts in December for fair play violations and has a full team of staff working on reports along with some automated systems for detection.

That said, discussions of cheating, potential cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums. If you want to discuss join the following club
