From my rating, 33431 members represent 1.6% of active blitz players.(100-98.4=1.6)
Total blitz players= 33431/1.6 ×100= 2,089,437 ( 2 millions)
This calculation seems pointless when it shows you the total number in the image (2.17 million). You calculated a little lower because the 1.6 figure is rounded.
From erik' post in a few years ago, blitz players are 68.3% of chess.com players.
Ok, but they are not exclusively blitz players. Or maybe a more direct way of saying it is %games and %players are different.
Although chess.com add cumulative numbers of users for 12+ years resulting 37 million members, I found a way to calculate the numbers of active users within 3 months!!
How I did my math?
I did from rating statistics, which account only for active members within 3 months.

Total blitz players= 34431/1.6 ×100= 2,151,937 ( 2 .1 millions)

Total active players= 2151937/68.3 x 100=3,150,713
Total active players within the last 3 months= 3.1 millions ( approx)
