i was wondering - what is chess.com's rating system ? is it elo ?

in anyway, what i wanted to know is - how many points would someone benefit from a win against someone who is 100 points higher and how much would he benefit from a win against someone that is 100 points lower ?

thanks

Yes, it works on an elo system. If someone won against someone who is 100 over them, I think the would benefit by 25-75 elo points.

k, i'm not so good in math, can you please help me with the original post's question ? my RD is low (i completed about 37 games in the daily time frame), and my rating is 1431

CristianoRonaldosuuu

its not related to ELO because Hikaru has got like 3500 ratings and hes rated roughly 2780 ELO

Impossible to say without knowing your opponent's Glicko RD as well.  It's complicated...

Oh and I suck at math too.  The formula is awesomely long and difficult. wink.png
