Chess Diagram to be Solved

Someone has a chess problem for me. He messaged it to me where I am supposed to try to get a pawn to the other side and turn it into a Queen. It isn't working. Can someone please give us instructions on how to make it work? Maybe it needs to be turned into a puzzle or something? I have no idea what to do and neither does he.

I was able to get the FEN from it:

Easy way to post chess board with moves, for Vote Chess games:

If you want to post a series of possible moves, in Vote chess game, with that games current chess board. It's easy. 

1. go to your vote chess game.

2. click on "moves".

3. highlight FEN string (it highlights by just clicking it).

4. then cut by holding down the "control(Ctrl)" key, and hit the "c" key.

5. And in the comments box at bottom, click on the little chess board, in the top line, first one on the left.

6. Click the circle for "game or seguence of moves", click "continue".

7. And then clear FEN box and paste the FEN string in box, by holding down the "control(Ctrl)" key, and hit the "v" key, then click "continue".

8. Click on "enter moves" (you may want to click box to flip board), make all the moves, then click "continue".

9. Click "insert" bottom left.

10. Click "post comment".

Just in case you're wondering it's here:

You have to enter the moves, #6, after clicking enter moves, then click continue.

My bench went up 20% when I went on creatine. What does that have to do with my question?

Yes. I guess the point is I want to enter this FEN into SCID (easy - I can do that).

Then the best thing for me to do is play it against the computer. Can't quite figure that out...

So first question: how do I play it against SCID once I enter the FEN into SCID.

Second question: How do I play that position against my friend?

Have you used the little chess board before? You can create puzzles and other things.
