Chess etiquette

I was playing a LIVE game and my opponent kept asking for a draw, even though he/she was cleary in a losing position.  He/she asked about 7 or 8 times in quick succession.   I am not saying he/she had to resign, I am happy to play it out, but it seemed excessive.

My response was not as mature as I would have liked.  I started promoting pawns to queens until he resigned.

Thoughts?

I like to humiliate non-resigners like you did. 

Only on the net though. Real life you should always respect your opponent and go for the quickest win.

Just make your move(s), and the draw request goes away.  Yes they can keep offering, and you can keep moving.  Is it poor ettiquette? Obviously, but the annonymity of the internet affords people the ability to act less than nice.

When people wont resign, have fun with it.  I promote pawns into different pieces, and place them back on there starting squares :-)
