Personally, I'd stay well away from PDF and either email just the moves, or maintain a PGN file and mail that.
If you maintain a PGN file (whether you're mailing moves or the PGN file itself), you can use the analysis board right here at chess.com, I imagine:
http://www.chess.com/analysis-board-editor
You get a computer based click-to-move interface that you can load your PGN file into, and under the 'Game Editor' tab there is a 'Copy PGN' button which will show you the text of the current PGN (e.g. after your move).
Your opponent can then manage however they please, either via a program on their computer or a real board, or some combination of both. So long as they can send you at least their moves back (and no spam filters eat them *sigh*) you should be fine.
Hello...
I'm looking for a chess program or website that allows me to set up a game and save it for future moves via email. The person I'm playing doesn't have internet web access so I'll have to pdf the board and email him screenshots. I'd like to keep a running game electronically but will need to submit moves via email.
Does anyone know how or where to do this? I don't have room or the ability to set up a physical board at my home.
thanks
Scott
