🌟 Let’s Keep Chess Fun for Everyone! 🌟

Hey chess.com! I wanted to talk about something important—something I’ve been dealing with ever since I started playing on this platform. Chess should be about relaxing, challenging ourselves, and having fun when we’ve got a bit of spare time. But unfortunately, not everyone treats it that way, and I’ve heard from others going through the same thing.

♟️ A little about me:
My dad taught me how to play chess on a board and instilled in me the value of respect—especially towards women. He always said to never let a man disrespect you. Harassment isn’t just rude; it’s hurtful. No one should have to deal with it while playing a game that’s meant to bring people together.

🎯 To the women and girls in the chess community:
You deserve to enjoy chess without the stress of inappropriate messages or unwanted attention. This is a game, not a dating app. Every time someone crosses that line, it takes the fun out of it and makes it harder to enjoy what we’re really here for.

♟️ To everyone else:
We all have a role to play in keeping this space respectful. Every player, no matter their gender, deserves to feel safe. If you come across toxic behaviour, don’t let it slide—calling it out is the only way we can make a real change.

🚀 To chess.com:
We need stronger moderation tools and clearer ways to report these issues. Players should know that when they speak up, they’ll be taken seriously and supported.

🌐 A call to action:
It’s up to all of us to build the kind of chess community we want to be part of. To the amazing women and girls playing chess—you are seen, you are valued, and we’ve got your back.

If this resonates with you, let’s make some noise and raise awareness!
🔖 Shoutout to a few inspiring players: Anna Cramling, Alexandra Botez

Together, we can make a difference. Toxic behaviour? Time to checkmate it. 🎯♟️

What???

Think your getting SAFE confused with RESPECT!

You are on the internet? Safe??? what? Huh?? Pardon me, but I mean no disrespect,,, but let's add some reality here.

You have a Block button... the by laws of this site dictate you are free to use it on anyone you choose. After they are blocked... you never hear from them again.

Safe space? On a chess site? You realize Chess is a combative sport of the mind.

This site is like giant Chess boxing gym... safe space? That doesn't compute. Every time you play a game someone is trying to dominate you mentally.... it's chess! Just like if you were in a boxing gym... every time you sparred someone they are trying to dominate you with pugilism.

Respect... is what the site decorum should be all about... therefore it doesn't matter your gender, your race, your age ..
