A Little Game wasn't terrible but I wouldn't rank it as one of the better ones.
The classic is Searching for Bobby Fischer and probably my favorite. I enjoyed The Luzhin Defence, Queen to Play and Life of a King.

I know of a couple at least, there is "Life of a King" with Cuba Gooding Jr. and then there is Knights of the South Bronx with Ted Danson, also there is Fresh, which isn't really about Chess but it has segments of Chess in it but it's not really about Chess, but it's still a good movie, worth a look if you love Chess as I do.
It has nothing to do with chess but, "The Walk" is a rip-off and here's why. The incident in question occured in 1974. A couple of years later a documentary was made about this called, "Man On Wire". So they pull out a 40 yr old documentary and re-arrange the scenes. How many people are going to have flash-backs when they see the twin towers? Its probably geared to an audience that wasn't even born when the towers got hit "See the movie that all the critics are calling "breathtaking". Rolling Stone gives it 5 stars. BITE ME
It's not a rip off, it's a remake.
I saw the ad for it in a 3-d theatre. I can see why they made it. But I also think I've seen the best parts already and won't be watching it.
There's another remake coming up soon, The Secret in Their Eyes. The original Argentine flick is one of the best movies of this millenium. I understand why Hollywood is remaking it. But go see the original.
People here are going on and on about Pawn Sacrifice. what about other good chess movies? There's a really good one called A Little Game starring F Murray Abraham.
