Kidnappers on a chess forum? I’d have to become one of Mexico’s top players to attract that kind of attention! And don’t believe everything you see on TV about Mexico. It is a wonderful country. Mexico City is quite safe, actually. And I’m not dumb! I would be careful who I decide to meet up with and where.

I’m not a chess celebrity. Why would I be kidnapped for certain? How would a kidnapper know to look on these forums?

I don’t know if they’re being racist, but they certainly don’t know very much about my country. Don’t believe what you see on Netflix. It’s not like that at all.

About five years ago I played chess in public on a Mexico city square. It was fun, but too many other things to do over there.

it's not about being "racist", you dumb motherfuc ker----it's about the FACTS as they are...and the facts ARE, if the OP traveled down to Mexico to play OTB with someone down there, chances are he would be kidnapped by a cartel and put up for ransom, like what happened to a group of Americans very recently....did you not see that news report???!!!
