Chess putting you to sleep?

I have this problem all the time.

I come home from work, log on to a chess website, watch some live GM game and next thing you know I'm sound asleep before the game is over.

I find myself falling asleep while reading a chess book as well. I have the book open, the board set up to analyze the position and the authors comments, and suddenly I'm fully nodded off into dreamland. I have to wake myself up, make a few moves, read a few comments, but then I just pass out again.

I even find myself falling asleep during my own games. I was playing bullet the other day and lost on time after dozing off.

I don't wanna say that chess is boring, but man, this game puts me to sleep.

Anyone else suffer from this?

Chessomnia is a much bigger problem than most people realize.

I should try that to see if it helps my insomnia!

Just inject some drugs right into your blood stream, it should help, at least it did wonders for me.

I found some acetaminophen/codeine tablets and crushed them, then mixed the powder into a mixture of honey and water and added some sea salt to make the solution isotonic. How much of this should I inject per dose?

If I ever have trouble sleeping, a chess book or some online games usually does the trick.

FWIW, I also found that I sleep much better if I don't eat late. If I let at least 4 hours go by after my last meal I sleep much better.

Sounds like 1500 syndrome. Go seek medical help by a sub 1600 specialist

DUDE, YOU LUCKY, LAST TIME I did it I just had orange juice.

THAT formula seems delicious, just shove it all up your blood stream, you will feel perfect.

And when I say all I mean no more than 1 lt, last time I put 20 oranges into my blood stream and lost my arm.

It's a good thing honey never expires--I've had this stuff for three years. I wasn't able to make much, though, so I'm going to go easy on it and limit myself to 200 mL per day.

I have a tendency to overlook things on the board when I'm tired, too, so I'm using a bit as eyedrops, too. If that doesn't help I can always try an intravitreal injection.

Sounds like you've already hit the good stuff.

It's kind of the opposite for me.  When I need to wake up in the morning, I take out my phone and start doing tactic problems on the chess.com application to keep me from falling back asleep.

Good thing I "work" from home, that way I can always make use of illegal substances.

Happened again tonight while looking at a game posted in the forum.
