1300 is great for your amount of experience. Practice tactics everyday ! Study up on your openings, learn patterns, and analyze famous games. Chess takes lots of practice it won't come overnight. Peace

1300 is a good rating. People mean "beginner" in different ways. You're obviously much better than anyone who has recently learned how the pieces move. Those people are under 1000 rating.
