Those aren't chess slang... I think they're twitch. I wouldn't know what those are, since I don't watch twitch.
Chess slang?
You mean pawn cube, pawn cube are 4 pawns (2pack of dobled pawns side by side) and Eric Rosen realy likes it. Subs are subscribers and bits are some kind of online money

That's not chess slang. Chess slang are things like zugzwang, zwischenzug, or you are a biggest looser i ever seen in my life.

correct. Chess players spell it "looser".

Thanks for that reply Pulp...along with bad grammar and poor spelling you can add blocked and reported to your resume.

He wasn't insulting you - just stating how many members behave here.

Not sure on “cube” but I’d assume that it refers to the “pawn cube” where one side has pawns on e4,d4,e5, and d5

He was quoting Tigran Petrosian after being caught cheating. its a joke, lighten up for once in your life please grandpa. Another internet thing is that you dont have to tell people when you block or report them, it just makes you look like even more of a clown than you already did.

not even, its just a quote from the tigran petrosian copypasta

oops sorry

As Nakamura has randomly started calling pawns 'juicers' on his streams you can probably add that to the list.

its actually something xQc started, and it applies to anything. Hikaru has just basically taken that, and now many people dont know the origins.

That is not slang, those are just terms. An example of chess slang is the term “patzer.”

I see. Many people including myself!

When Eric and Levy talk about the cube they are referring to the one that can emerge from the Stafford gambit, with black having pawns on b6, b7, c6 and c7. But I guess any formation like that is also a "pawn cube"
What is the 'cube'? I've heard Gotham Chess advising to not give Eric Rosen the cube as the last time someone gave him the cube it did not turn out well....
In other news...I also don't understand what streamers mean when they are thanking viewers for gifting them 'bits' or 'subs'.....and yes, I haven't been doing this online for very long.
Thanks for any replies! (well helpful ones anyway
)
