you're right. your opinion is all that matters BUT you did ask. asking for my opinion was as lame as chess tattoos. plus I might be taking the piss.

I'll say it again. I didn't ask anyone for an opinion as to if I "Should" or "Shouldn't" get Chess Tattoo's. Or rather additional ones.

Please clearly read previous posts.

I think my main concern is how I am going to do the Queen/King.  And where. Ugh. lol.

The whole black on one side and white on the other is intriguing.

You could always tatoo LOVE and HATE on your knuckles like the murdering sociopath preacher in Night of the Hunter (almost wrote "Knight of the Hunter")

Cool chess tatoos are one thing - but seriously, those knights remind me of My Little Pony, the toy line for girls. Don't know if that's the effect you were going for. I like the knights in the Alpha theme at chess.com.

Hope you don't mind honest opinions.

 Not at all!

I was not going for the My Little Pony effect. I don't know if My Little Pony has skulls on any "Black" Pony. If there was one... I would probably buy it. haha.

If they actually looked like knights, then that would be enough to say "Chess"  and you wouldn't have to add every piece on the board.  A knight on each bicep -  something like the Alpha theme knights, only slightly more elaborated. (And not smiling.)  OK that's all for me.

I understand that.  When people see them in person, they always know what they are without me telling them.  That picture really doesnt do them justice. I need to take a new one. And that is as well almost right after they got done. Took the picture while I was in the car... lol

I think you fail to understand that these tattoo's are not for other people. I don't want them to decorate my body. I want them because Chess means alot to me. More than you or anyone else will probably ever know. Chess is where I go to relax and think in order to help my own life. It is a passion of mine. They are mine. I made the choice, I want them on my body. I don't care if anyone see's them or not. I could live my life and not show anyone. I would still be happy.

If I wanted your opinion about if I should or shouldn't get a tattoo... I would have asked. Being that I have already decided that I am going to get more, I don't think your comments were needed at all.

If you have comments about with you might think would look "Cool" or where on my body depending on the piece, then feel free to give me some advice, as that is what I asked for.

If you don't have anything nice to say, just don't reply.

K Thanks.

Hey brother,

For someone who claims they are for yourself and not for other people, you sure have started a lot of topics about your ink - even pictures. Multiple posts and even thread bumps? Sound kinda needy.

And if you go under a needle, you're a big boy and should be able to handle the pricks here too - so you come off kinda like a whiney biznitch when you tell people you don't want their opinions unless their the kind you approve of. HTF do we know what you approve of unless we put it out there first? I'm just sayin.

I have tats too. (you can check my profile for the album with pix). I know the addiction. I even appreciate people sharing the stories and meaning they put into carefully picking, or designing their own and placing them. I dig. Hell, I had a travelling friend who was a soldier and brawler - it defined what he was, so he inked the date and location where he got every scar on his body.

Ultimately, they become the only lasting things in your life - they'll out live our lame advice and even most of your friendships.

So meditate on it and do it on your own, friend, it'll mean more.

I appreciate your reply.  I got irritated because I'm looking for others opinions on what might be cool.  I know I have said it before. Many times.  The guy replied to me telling me to get them taken off, and that they were dumb. or whatever.  and that was even AFTER I had replied to someone else's advance about telling me how I shouldnt get Chess Tattoo's... So if that second person took the damn time to read that. His bullshit reply wouldn't have even been needed.

Lets look at this in a different way.

If you asked me for help while you were playing a "Computer" in a game of chess, I would look at it, and tell you my opinions.

Would it make sense to come right out and say "You should just not play chess at all" "You're making your self look foolish".

Thats not what you asked for...  So why am I to be treated like that when I seek opinions/idea's on possibilities involving the progression of my Tattoo's?

I came here hoping to find people that would give me different idea's. And some have for sure.  But what really jerks my chain is when someone is a fucker about it. Why even bother posting a reply if the reply is completely opposite of the request, let alone degrading me or my choices.

I know this is the internet, and it happens. But sheesh, the guy could have had way more respect for me than to reply like he did.

 lol for sure.

Tricklev

I enjoy the tattoos, but I can't really come up with any ideas for you, even though I like the concept.

I'm thinking about a chess tattoo myself, but I'm more of a minimalist, I was thinking of just doing a classic chessboard on my back, nothing more, just a chessboard with the pieces standing in their original square. Not so sure if I'd want it on my back though, I think I'd prefer it on one of my upper arms, but I dunno how the pieces would look with that small size.

Anyhow, I'll think about some ideas for your tattoos, I really enjoyed the concept.

Oh, and don't forget to put the new tattoos up once they are done.

NBA_KING

those tattos are a bit retarded no offence. get a NZ tribal tatto on ur right arm as a half sleeve and Old english text on ur abs.

I was going to suggest a flaming knight tattoo like mine.

However, you already have your knights. I'm looking for a great king design myself. I will probably put the king on my shoulder when I find one I like.
