A tattoo that says "Tattoos are lame" is hilarious. Much better than "This advertising space available." In any event, it's probably a good idea to double check speeling before the tattoo.

I can't imagine what they might do to you if your tattoo violated a copyright.

i love the idea of a chess tattoo. I have 5 tattoos so far and about a million and one more that I would like. So now I'm adding 'chess tattoo' to the list :) . Unfortunately I can't think of any awesome tattoo ideas for you, but if something awesome pops into my head I'll be sure to write it on here.

you certainly can't go wrong if you do but it's not that tattoos i think are lame.  it's the irony of some wannabe rebel, mormon kid from slc asking strangers for help with his chess tattoos.  and yes, i find chess tattoo really really terrible.  but please folks carry on.  get all the stupid tattoos you desire.  my opinion doesn't change anything about how stupid your tattoos are--

Here's an idea that no one has mentioned. Have a picture of your favorite GM tattooed on your body. It might be good to make it a picture of your favorite WGM. However, her husband might get jealous.

 Light and dark.  It's kinda the idea of the chess battle.  I guess thats how I see it. 

The artist drew them out with skulls and flowers, and I liked it.

I don't think he said it doesn't matter, he said it doesn't change anything about something specific he qualified in that sentence.

It could be just as easily argued, conversely, that your tattoos don't change anything about how irrelevant ilikesflags' opinion of tattoos are to you.  It doesn't make your tattoos pointless -- just pointless for that purpose.

Perhaps ilikeflags' opinion was intended for a wider audience than just you and it's not all that irrelevant after all....
