It usually crashes for me when I try to update a pre-existing database. I remember it crashing when I was trying to do other things, but I forgot exactly what I was doing. Sorry I guess I can't be of much help :(.

One thing to make sure of is that you are running the most recent version of CB.

Sure, I'm running the latest version.
I experience frequent crashes with Chessbase 13 when working on big custom databases (i.e. not the ones distributed by CB) and trying to open the 'Themes' or 'Openings' tabs and respective keys do not exist yet. Oftentimes CB crashes instead of showing me the buttons to create the required keys. I'd say the chances for a crash in such case are 50/50.
Eventually I manage to create the keys and after that it doesn't crash for that database anymore.
Can anybody confirm this issue?
